Lebanon: Lebanon Receives Four Detainees Released by Israel.

Tyre, Lebanon - September 04, 2026 Israel released four more detainees to Lebanon through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at the Naqoura crossing on Friday, following the handover of a fifth person a day earlier. The ICRC said it facilitated the transfer of five people from Israeli detention as a neutral humanitarian intermediary. The releases came amid US-mediated talks between Israel and Lebanon, while the ICRC renewed calls for access to Lebanese detainees held in Israel, saying it has been unable to visit them since October 2023. Footage shows an International Committee of the Red Cross convoy carrying four Lebanese detainees released by Israel as it travels toward the southern city of Tyre.
