Lebanon: IDF Reports Failed Missile Launch at Aircraft Over Southern Lebanon.

Lebanon - May 12, 2026 The Israeli military said a small surface-to-air missile was unsuccessfully launched toward an aircraft during air force support operations for troops in southern Lebanon. No damage or injuries were reported. The IDF said the air force quickly struck a suspect who fled the launch area on a motorcycle. Israeli forces also intercepted suspicious aerial targets detected near troops operating in the area, while Hezbollah separately launched explosive drones toward Israeli forces earlier in the day, causing no Israeli casualties.
