Gaza - August 03, 2026 Israeli forces said an airstrike in the Deir al-Balah area over the weekend killed Mahmoud Fatair, described as a Nukhba commander in Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Central Camps Brigade. According to the provided information, Fatair took part in the October 7 attack inside Israel and was involved in holding Rom Braslavski in captivity. The IDF also said he appeared in footage from hostage handover ceremonies involving several hostages.
