Israel: Israeli Military Chief Visits Druze Spiritual Leader for Eid al-Adha.

Israel - May 29, 2026 IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited the home of Druze spiritual leader Sheikh Mowafaq Tarif for Eid al-Adha, joined by Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian and other senior commanders. During the visit, Zamir met with community representatives and Druze officers, thanked them for their service and extended holiday greetings. He also said he had just returned from southern Lebanon, where he saw Israeli forces operating against Hezbollah, and emphasized the long-standing partnership between the IDF and Israel’s Druze community.
