Sulaymaniyah, Iraq - August 19, 2026 Fire broke out in the office of the governor of Sulaymaniyah in Kurdish northern Iraq, local media reported. They said the blaze started in a rear area used for parking and storage, with flames and smoke visible from across the city. Firefighters and emergency crews were deployed to the scene to contain the blaze.
