Iran - May 28, 2026 Iran launched ballistic missiles and drones toward Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait early this morning, according to Iranian and regional reports, following overnight U.S. strikes near Bandar Abbas in southern Iran. Warning messages were reportedly issued in Kuwait after missiles launched from Khuzestan were detected heading toward the base, where one missile was said to have been intercepted by a Patriot air defense battery. In a statement, Iran’s IRGC said the attack was carried out in retaliation for U.S. military strikes and warned that “aggression will not go unanswered,” as videos circulating online showed ballistic missile trails streaking across the morning skies over Khuzestan.
