Planay, France - July 07, 2026 A wildfire that broke out in Planay, Savoie, France, after a lightning strike on June 24, has burned 60 hectares and threatens the D915 road to Pralognan-la-Vanoise. A 22-year-old volunteer firefighter was killed overnight on July 7-8 after being struck by a falling boulder while battling the blaze.
