Cairo, Egypt - September 02, 2026 Chinese workers and engineers continue construction of the Central Business District in Egypt's New Administrative Capital, located approximately 50 kilometers east of Cairo, on September 2, 2026. The district, built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, comprises 20 skyscrapers, including the 385.8-meter Iconic Tower, the tallest building in Africa, as part of the Belt and Road Initiative.
