China: Heavy rains trigger flooding in Heilongjiang's Yanshou, residents evacuated.

Torrential rains have lashed Yanshou County in Heilongjiang's Harbin since Friday, flooding parts of the county seat and surrounding towns. Some areas recorded more than 200 millimeters of rain in 24 hours, and local authorities have quickly moved to relocate residents in flood‑prone zones. In some parts of the county, floodwater has risen to nearly half a meter. Rescuers are racing to evacuate stranded residents to safety using tractors, front-end loaders, and inflatable boats. Meanwhile, officials have turned schools in elevated areas into temporary shelters and are providing displaced individuals with basic food and accommodations. So far, a total of 2,039 people from 1,053 households have been evacuated in Yanshou County. Some are staying with their relatives, while the rest are sheltered at temporary evacuation centers.
