Aug 11, 2026
Yibin, China - August 05, 2026 This is the shocking moment that a Chinese village saw metal rooftops ripped away by powerful winds as a typhoon hit Sichuan, leaving several residents with damaged houses and economic losses. On August 6, 2026, in Changning County, Yibin, Sichuan, the video captured a dangerous scene during the typhoon impact, showing strong winds tearing an entire iron roof away from a villager’s house. In the footage, the metal sheets covering the top of the building were lifted by the violent gusts and blown away, exposing the roof underneath. Local villagers explained that many houses in the area had been built for years and were prone to water leaks. To prevent rainwater from entering their homes, many families had installed additional iron roofs above their original roofs. However, these extra structures were also vulnerable to the strong winds brought by the typhoon, causing several households to lose their metal coverings. The video ended with the damaged iron roofs scattered around the village after being blown away by the strong winds.
