The landmark was officially unveiled on Aug. 29 by Ontario Premier Doug Ford. The following day, local residents and visitors continued to visit the site, posing for photos with the sign overlooking Lake Ontario. The installation is expected to become a new attraction within the conservation area, drawing visitors to one of Ontario’s popular waterfront destinations.
