Jarbas Meneghini, who has been making the trophies since 1994, has produced more than 3,000 plaster replicas at his workshop near the famous Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The pieces are made from molds, with some painted gold and others finished with a polished chrome coating. Meneghini sells the trophies to tourists and local fans and exports them to 17 countries across the Americas and Europe. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by the US, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
