VARIOUS OF BANNERS OF PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES ON STREETS SARAJEVO, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - SEPT. 4, 2026: The election campaign officially began in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, Sept. 4, ahead of general elections scheduled for Oct. 4. Posters featuring candidates and political party campaign messages were displayed across the country, particularly in the capital Sarajevo, as the campaign period announced by the Central Election Commission (CIK) got underway. More than 3.4 million people are eligible to vote in the elections, which will determine the Bosniak, Serb and Croat members of the country’s tripartite Presidency as well as representatives at the cantonal, entity and state levels. The elections will be the 10th general vote held since the Dayton Peace Agreement ended the 1992-1995 Bosnian War.
