CYCLISTS COMPETING TIRANA, ALBANIA - MAY 18: Cyclists from Albania, the Balkans and across Europe raced through the streets of Tirana on Monday, May 18, as the 83rd Tour of Albania officially began with the opening stage in the capital. The race opened with a ceremony at Skanderbeg Square, where riders, officials and spectators gathered ahead of the five-stage competition scheduled to continue through May 22. Footage showed cyclists riding through central Tirana as crowds lined the streets to watch the opening day of the annual race. The event is organized in cooperation with Albania’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, the Albanian National Olympic Committee and the Albanian Cycling Federation. The five-day race will continue across several Albanian cities before concluding on May 22.
