Trump signs executive order on ticket resellers, joined by Kid Rock

President Trump signed a fresh wave of executive orders Monday, and among them, one that could change the way you buy tickets to your favorite concerts and events

And I'd like to take my ticket prices lower. But if I set my ticket prices low, these box immediately eat them up

And they resell for hundreds of dollars more. And I'm just making these bad actors rich

Musician and longtime supporter kid Rock stood by Trump's side as he signed an executive order aiming to crack down on price gouging and middlemen in the entertainment industry

This move follows growing outrage in recent years, like the 2022 incident when tickets went on sale for Taylor Swift's era's tour

Fans were unable to purchase tickets at one point due to high demand and technical issues worsened by resellers and bots

If Ticketmaster sells a ticket, if you buy a ticket and go to a show, you're in a lot of ways they're worst customer

They make another 17, whatever percentage every time that ticket resell. So they don't want to enforce the Bots at necessarily because they're making more money off it

The artists don't see any of that money, but that's not what I'm advocating for us for me to make more money

I want the fans to have fair ticket prices. Under the executive order agencies are mostly being tasked to enforce existing laws

like the Federal Trade Commission, or FTC, being directed to enforce the Better Online Ticket Sales Act

which bans the use of bots to scoop up and resell tickets at inflated prices

It also instructs the Treasury Secretary and Attorney General to ensure resellers are complying with tax

and other federal regulations. It bothers a lot of other artists. The artists, and they go out with a $100 ticket in themselves for $2,000 the following night

In 180 days, the Treasury, Department of Justice, and FTC are expected to deliver a report
