Well, it's an unjust indictment and it seems like his intimidation tactics have been pervasive

Many Republicans want her out of office now. So what's it take to expel a member and when could she be removed

To expel McCormick, a two-thirds majority or about 287 members would have to vote in favor of the resolution

Since the House balance of power is 219 Republicans to 213 Democrats, it would have to be a bipartisan vote

Republicans aren't going to drop this. They'll hold Democrats' feet to the fire until they convince enough of them to hit the two-thirds majority needed to expel a member

Democrats were relentless in calling for him to be expelled. They publicly pressured Republicans

to vote to expel him because they didn't have enough votes to do it alone. They needed about

74 Republicans to join them, and they got 105. To expel Congresswoman Chirfilis McCormick

Republicans need approximately 68 Democrats to hit a two-thirds majority. So who were the likely targets? Well, McCormick's fellow Democrats in Florida, of course

When George Santos was expelled, New York Republicans were just as loud as Democrats

in calling for his ouster because they didn't want him to hurt their party statewide

So Republicans will likely apply pressure to Congressman Jared Muskowitz, Maxwell Alejandro Frost and Darren Soto, to name a few

But remember, things take time in Congress. The original expulsion resolution against George Santos was filed in May 2023

It went to the Ethics Committee for an investigation, and he wasn't ousted until December

So even if Republicans push hard on this, there's a good chance the final vote won't be until 2026
