Philly fans outraged over ‘extortionate’ concession prices at Eagles' stadium

The Philadelphia Eagles may have won the Super Bowl, but the team's fans are notoriously fickle

Messing with beer and food prices is one way to get on their bad side

Yet the team is taking that gamble as the 2025 season gets ready to kick off

An image going viral on social media shows what many fans describe as outrageous prices at Lincoln Financial Field

The team recently signed a deal with Philly-based sports bar Chickies and Pete's

and introduced several concession stands around the link. If you're lucky enough to get through the line before the first quarter ends

you can get a can of Miller Lite for $18.50. A large soda is $12.50, a regular soda $9.50, and a bottled water is $7.75

A cheese cup is $4.00. The city of brotherly love is known for its brash, outspoken fan base, and they did not hold back in the comments section

This bleep is out of control, from ticket prices to parking to food

Ridiculous prices, total BS, money grab. Disappointing. $4 cheese cup, Chickie and Pete's deserve jail time

for a Miller Lite I rather die of thirst But it really not Chickie and Pete fault the team has marked up prices by more than double what the company charges in its restaurants And the beer prices are upsetting fans the most

A can of Miller Lite at the link is $1.50 more than the beer cost at Super Bowl 59

For comparison's sake, here are some beer prices from around the NFL in 2024, courtesy of 93.5 The Fan in Indianapolis

Fans in Cincinnati and Cleveland paid the cheapest prices in the league at around $7 per can last year

Teams like the Packers and, yes, Philadelphia, were in the middle of the league with prices between $10 and $11

And the most expensive beer in the league was in Las Vegas at $15 before taxes. No surprise there

And Commander's Field in Landover, Maryland at $16.49 was tops in the league

The Eagles and their $18.50 beers now top the list in 2025

Well, it must have been fun to do that research. Some fans explained the price increases away

saying this is what happens when your team wins the Super Bowl, or you've got to pay for running back Saquon Barkley somehow

Still, it seems the fastest way for the Eagles to quell this concession outrage
