critical condition police have identified the shooter as 27 year old shane tamura from las vegas

Surveillance footage shows him walking toward the building, look, wearing body armor, sunglasses and carrying a high powered M4 rifle

The gunman opened fire inside the lobby of 345 Park Avenue, home to the NFL headquarters, Blackstone and other major firms

The NYPD says it's still trying to pin down a motive. According to our law enforcement partners in Las Vegas, Mr

Tamora has a documented mental health history. His motives are still under investigation, and we are working to understand why he targeted this particular location

Authorities say Tamura drove across the country and acted alone, taking his own life after the attack

While police are not yet releasing the victim's identities, they say the officer who was killed was 36-year-old Dideral Islam

He was a four-year veteran of the NYPD who worked out of the 47th precinct in the Bronx

He was working security at the building when he was killed. Islam leaves behind a pregnant wife and two young sons

In a post on X, New York Mayor Eric Adams called his death a tragic loss for the city

He announced plans to work with European allies to set up food centers inside Gaza without fences

or barriers, saying Israel bears a lot of responsibility and that the United States

will get even more involved. It is one of Trump's sharpest rebukes of Netanyahu since the war against

Hamas began and a sign of growing international pressure over Gaza's worsening humanitarian

crisis. While Trump stopped short of supporting Palestinian statehood, he appeared unfazed by

Britain's push to recognize one. The Israeli government, meanwhile, insists there is no

policy of starvation and has promised to scale up aid. This morning, at least 22 people are dead

after Russia launched a wave of deadly strikes across Ukraine overnight, hitting cities, villages

even a hospital and a prison. In a post on X, Ukrainian President Zelensky says Russia targeted

73 locations nationwide, killing 22 and injuring dozens more. The strikes came just hours after President Trump, while in Scotland, announced he's moving

up his self deadline for Russia Vladimir Putin to end the war I going to make a new deadline of about 10 or 12 days from today There no reason in waiting There no reason in waiting

It's 50 days. I want to be generous, but we just don't see any progress being made

Trump had originally given Putin 50 days to halt the invasion, but says Moscow is escalating, not de-escalating

He's now threatening severe tariffs and sanctions if the attacks continue. The Kremlin fired back on social media, calling Trump's new timeline a threat and a step toward war, quote, not with Ukraine, but with his own country

President Trump is wrapping up his trip to Scotland today, but it's what he said about Jeffrey Epstein there that's making headlines

Taking questions from reporters sitting alongside British Prime Minister Starmer on Monday, Trump did not just deny ever visiting Epstein Island

He called it, quote, a privilege he never accepted. He said he turned it down when others did not

Listen. I never had the privilege of going to his island, and I did turn it down

but a lot of people in Palm Beach were invited to his island. In one of my very good moments, I turned it down

I didn't want to go to his island. He also did not rule out a possible pardon for Jelaine Maxwell

Epstein's longtime associate now serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking girls

Trump claimed no one's approached him about it, but did not close the door. Well, I'm allowed to give her a pardon, but nobody's approached me with it. Nobody's asked me about it. It's in the news about that aspect of it. But right now, it would be inappropriate to talk about it

so. That comes as Maxwell's legal team files a new appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, arguing she

was unlawfully prosecuted and scapegoated and that Epstein's 2008 plea deal should have protected

her. The timing is notable. Just days ago, Trump's former personal attorney, now Deputy Attorney

General Todd Blanche, met with Maxwell in prison to discuss the case. There's also this. Political

is reporting this morning that Senator Chuck Schumer today will call on the FBI to investigate whether foreign countries have tried to access the Epstein files as leverage over Donald Trump

President Trump's pick to lead federal prosecutions in New Jersey, Alina Habba

is now facing a legal fight of her own, and she's at the center of it. A federal judge has put a criminal trial on hold, while the defense challenges

whether Habba has the legal authority to serve as acting U.S. attorney

The case involves Julian Girard Jr., who's facing federal drug and gun charges

His trial was set for August 4th, but his lawyer filed a motion to dismiss, claiming Habba is holding office unlawfully

The dispute unfolded last week when a panel of judges declined to name Habba as permanent U.S. attorney

instead selecting Desiree Lee Grace for the role. But the Justice Department quickly fired Grace and reinstated Habba as acting U.S. attorney

Now a federal judge in Pennsylvania will decide whether HABA has the legal standing to continue in that role

Finally this morning, you could say Target is keeping it all in the family

The retail giant is dropping its price match guarantee with competitors like Walmart, Best Buy and Amazon

The change follows a 4% drop in sales in the first quarter. Now shoppers can only request a price match within 14 days, but only if it's from another Target store or Target.com

Since 2013, Target had let customers match prices on identical items, same brand, size, weight, color, and model, sold by other retailers

The move comes just as families start stocking up for back-to-school season

Now, is it me or are these back-to-school sales happening earlier and earlier

I mean, we're in July. I understand that school starts here in the Midwest in August, but on the East Coast, it's like after Labor Day
