Aaron Rodgers upset about Jets meeting, still undecided on playing future

With one week to go before the NFL draft, the top free agent left on the market

quarterback Aaron Rodgers, still hasn't decided what he wants to do this coming season

Thursday, in an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, he talked about his future

and his breakup with the New York Jets, which we're learning was not as smooth

as it was made out to be a month ago. Rodgers said he flew from California to New Jersey

to meet with new head coach Aaron Glenn and GM Darren Mugee and was immediately taken aback

20 seconds in, I'm talking to the GM, and Glenn leans to the edge of his seat and says

you're sure you want to play football? And I said, yeah, I'm interested

And he said, we're going in another direction at quarterback. I was kind of shocked

Rodgers has made more headlines for his media appearances, he's paid as a guest on the Pat McAfee show

than for his two years of play on the field with the Jets. But he still felt like he was owed more than the million they continue to pay him I felt there wasn an ample amount of respect in that meeting I guess I shouldn have been surprised based on some things I saw over two years Rodgers met with several teams this offseason including the New York Giants

Minnesota Vikings, and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are the only team remaining that still

have a need at quarterback, but the future Hall of Famer said Thursday he still hasn't decided

whether or not he's going to retire. The Jets, however, signed former Steelers quarterback Justin

fields and at the league meetings two weeks ago, Glenn talked about how excited he was to have the

dual threat fields as his starter. We're going to let him play quarterback. I mean, that's what he's

always wanted to do. And listen, I'm not saying that he hasn't had a chance to play that, do that

in other places. And you know, that's not my issue. But I know what I want to do with that player

And obviously want to utilize his legs, but also want to give him a chance to go out there and play quarterback. Whether or not fields plays well in New York, only time will tell. But the Jets

probably feel better about not being in the middle of any future Aaron Rodgers drama
