Making ventilator sharing safer

A team of researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Brigham and Women's Hospital created a system that allows patients to share ventilators. While many ventilators can support more than one patient, it is inadvisable to do so because settings cannot be adjusted to suit each patient. The iSAVE is a system that allows clinicians to adjust how much air each patient is getting, making sharing ventilators safer.
