All right, welcome to day 11 of the Hyper 2 Cycle
0:03
Yesterday was a rest day, that's why there was no upload. Today is a dunk session and I am not expecting great things at all
0:13
The reason being is because my body feels extremely sore and tired from this first week of training
0:22
Now, people always talk smack when I say bad jumping day because I can still hit dunks
0:30
but I'm the best dunker in the world. So my bad day, I can still do a lot of cool stuff
0:37
But when I say bad jumping day, that means my vertical compared to my all-time best is not
0:41
It's probably going to be like four or five inches under what I typically jump
0:47
It's really important when you are starting a training cycle to keep your expectations low
0:53
A lot of people always expect to be jumping their absolute best every single session
0:57
but that is not the case. So keeping my expectations low, I still think it's going to be really fun
1:04
We're going to have access to the UCF practice court for the D1 basketball team
1:11
So it's going to be a really cool court to dunk at. As far as my goals for the session, I have none
1:20
I don't even know. I'm going to go in and literally just try things
1:24
I have been inspired by T-Dub. I've been watching a lot of his videos recently. So I might try some like t style distance dunks and punching one and stuff like that But yeah I don want to keep this intro too long We also have Austin in here
1:43
He's right there. What are you expecting for today? Nothing. Absolutely nothing
1:52
There we go. I feel awful. Awful. Awful. Like I woke up and I was like, awful
1:59
Yeah. Pro tip, keep expectations low. at dunk session everything in life yeah i do uh i will say i do have i guess goals for like
2:10
minimum performance so like like every session no matter how bad it is i always want to be able
2:17
to hit like a 360 east bay that sounds so ridiculous 360 east bay uh i always want to
2:25
feel healthy um yeah like basically you always want to come out of the session
2:31
knowing that in two days your health is back to baseline. So that's always what I'm trying to keep in mind
2:42
But yeah, that's pretty much it. Let's get straight into the dunk session
2:47
I don't want to keep you guys here on this boring stuff for too long. Bro, I'm about to call it
4:27
I'm so f***ing dead. My legs are not working, bro. no no no no Bro Come on come on come on come on come on
5:03
Alright, that was really, really, really, really, really bad. I was just telling John, I felt horrible three days ago
5:12
I felt horrible two days ago. I felt horrible yesterday. I felt horrible this morning. kept my expectations low and I still did not jump as well as I thought I was
5:22
So my body feels healthy on the bright side, but training fatigue, man
5:31
There's one thing to tell you guys is expect the training fatigue and that you're going to perform low
5:36
but it's another thing to go through it. So I relate to all y'all that get demotivated, but I want to jump higher and this is what it takes
5:45
One piece of gum? Yeah, I'll take some gum, please. I am really scared for Monday because I jumped a lot
5:56
So now I'm going to probably feel even more horrible going on to Monday. But whatever, one day at a time
6:04
Having said that, like always, THBstrength.com if you want to sign up for coaching
6:10
Like the video. I'm sorry you guys had to watch that. I'm really really sorry you guys had to watch that if you made it to this far in
6:18
the video you're a true fan because I wouldn't have watched the whole thing I'm
6:22
gonna be honest all right catch you guys Monday no video tomorrow but Monday
6:29
we'll be right back in the grind
