Vol Nation got a pretty big announcement on Thursday, and I think every Tennessee football fan should be very happy and very excited about the upcoming season after hearing it

Hey, Lucas Panzeca here from 104.5 The Zone and A to Z Sports
0:15
So Thursday afternoon, Tennessee football officially unveiled the Vol Network radio broadcast team for the upcoming football season
0:22
As we already knew, longtime voice of the Titans and Tennessee alum Mike Keith takes over as the next voice of the Vols, an absolute home run hire to replace Bob Kessling
0:33
But his partner, his yst for the football games is now official
0:37
It is none other than Ramon Foster, the former Tennessee offensive lineman, a player who was a pivotal piece in those last four years of the Philip Fulmer era on Rocky Top
0:47
Ramon played a multitude of positions along the offensive line during his time playing at Tennessee from 2005 through 2008
0:55
He was a team captain, an all-SEC caliber player, and a member of the last Tennessee football team to ever win the SEC East and play in the SEC championship
1:05
Of course, then Ramon went undrafted in the 2009 NFL draft, but found a landing spot as a UDFA with the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he enjoyed a 10-plus year career, very successful, all with the Pittsburgh Steelers as one of the most consistent guards in the National Football League
1:22
Now, I get the pleasure of working with Ramon Foster at 104.5 The Zone and getting to call him a colleague and a friend
1:29
And let me tell you there is nobody more qualified and there is no better human to get this position than Ramon Foster He loves the university and the state of Tennessee You talking about a guy who was born and raised in West Tennessee played his college ball in East Tennessee and then after his 10 plus
1:46
year career in the NFL came to an end post-retirement, came back to live in Middle Tennessee
1:51
where of course he co-hosts Ramon, Kayla, and Will, our morning show over on 104.5 The Zone
1:56
the flagship of the Tennessee Vols in the Middle Tennessee area. And the best part about this is
2:01
Ramon and Mike will have an instantaneous chemistry, having worked together for the last couple of years on the Titans radio team
2:08
with Ramon doing sidelines and doing it seamlessly for the last couple of seasons
2:13
I cannot wait to hear the energy and the passion for Tennessee football
2:17
in the booth that Mike and Ramon are going to bring. Now, that's not the entire broadcast team
2:22
as there will be two returning members from the last few years
2:26
Jason Swain, former Tennessee wide receiver that played in about the same era as Ramon
2:31
will come back as an yst for this broadcast team, as will Brent Hubs, with the roles being switched up a little bit
2:38
Jason Swain will be an yst, will be a heavy part of the pre- and post-game coverage
2:42
and Brent Hubs will go down to the sideline, offering his perspective from the field
2:47
All four of these guys love Tennessee football and are extremely good at what they do
2:52
I truly believe the Vol Network will have one of the best radio broadcast teams
2:57
in all of college football in 2025. And the good thing is you don't have to wait until that season opener against Syracuse to hear them for the first time
3:06
The orange and white game on April 12th will not be televised, but it will be broadcasted on the Vol Network, of course, with Mike Keith and Ramon Foster on the call
3:15
So tune in April 12th to Tennessee spring game and get a glimpse of the years to come on the Vol Network
