Thank you all again so much for coming
0:01
out. I'm happy to take questions. Let's
0:03
go win this. Thank you.
0:07
>> [applause]
0:11
>> As a former progressive Dem, now a
0:13
moderate,
0:13
>> Yeah.
0:14
>> I loved hearing you say that you're a
0:18
patriot,
0:19
but what are you going to do about that
0:22
being a right-coded way of presenting
0:25
yourself?
0:26
>> I will say I use that word
0:27
intentionally, and the reason that I do
0:29
it is because
0:31
So, I grew up in the Presbyterian
0:33
church, and after Trump got elected, I
0:36
stopped going to church for the first
0:37
time in my life, because I was like, I
0:39
cannot sit in this room of people. At
0:41
the time I was stationed somewhere that
0:42
was pretty conservative. I was still in
0:43
the military at the time. I was like, I
0:44
cannot sit in this church full of people
0:46
that voted for Trump. And then
0:48
ultimately, I decided they do not get to
0:49
decide what Christianity looks like.
0:51
[music] And to me, it's the same thing
0:52
about they do not get to decide what
0:54
patriotism is. You don't get to wrap
0:56
yourself in the flag while you're
0:57
literally murdering Americans in broad
0:58
daylight.
