Here are ten examples: Amnon (2 Samuel 13): Amnon’s lust for his half-sister Tamar led him to commit a heinous act of violence against her, which later resulted in his own death and caused great turmoil in King David's family. Shechem (Genesis 34): Shechem, the son of Hamor the Hivite, lusted after Dinah, Jacob's daughter. His actions led to deceit and violence, bringing destruction upon his entire city. Potiphar's Wife (Genesis 39): Her lustful pursuit of Joseph, when rejected, led her to falsely accuse him of assault, resulting in Joseph's imprisonment. The Men of Gibeah (Judges 19): Their lustful and violent demand for the Levite's concubine led to a brutal act of violence and subsequently to a civil war within Israel. Solomon’s Wives (1 Kings 11): While not explicitly described in terms of lust, Solomon’s many wives, whom he lusted after, led him astray into idolatry, contributing to the eventual division of his kingdom. The Young Man in Proverbs (Proverbs 7): The narrative of a young man seduced by an adulterous woman serves as a warning against lust and the folly of giving in to seductive temptations. Achan (Joshua 7): His covetousness, a form of lust, for the spoils of Jericho (a beautiful robe, silver, and gold) led him to disobey God’s command, bringing disaster on himself and his family. Balaam (2 Peter 2:15; Jude 1:11; Revelation 2:14): Although more known for his greed, Balaam’s lust for financial gain led him to deceive and ultimately led to his downfall.
