Kalakukko (fish pie) Recipe

Kalakukko is a traditional Finnish dish, essentially a fish pie, but unlike the standard pie we might think of, Kalakukko is made with fish (commonly perch, vendace, or salmon), pork, and a dense rye dough, all baked together in a large loaf shape. The dish is hearty, filling, and often eaten as a meal on its own, typically enjoyed in rural Finland.
