Cioppino Recipe
**Ingredients:**
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 shallots, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups dry white wine
- 5 cups fish stock or clam juice
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 pound clams, scrubbed
- 1 pound mussels, scrubbed and debearded
- 1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 1/2 pounds firm white fish (like halibut or cod), cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
