Now this is not uncommon Background app

system apps have used location forever

This is not new to 1 UI 7.0 But people

think because this location indicator is

showing up every time they unlock it And

you see it goes away right because when

you unlock and then you wake lock your

phone a lot of these system apps wake up

and do stuff You can see right now I

also have smart things here in the

office That's another application that

uses it But if you tap on this you're

going to see it's the same general

devices And you can see smart things

also If you see one that isn't system

as well So a lot of people are thinking

this is a bug but we do not think so We

did some analysis We did some digging

And it turns out this location indicator

is only there on US units of the Galaxy

S25 series S24 series And as far as we

can tell it might be all US units They

end up getting 1 UI7 We're still

collecting some data It does not appear

on international units This doesn't seem

to be a problem though because in my

testing it's not using any additional

battery We believe Samsung did this on
