๐ Did You Know? The Majority of the World Co-Sleeps!
Out of 8 billion people on this planet, about 6 billion practice co-sleeping โ or bed sharing โ with their babies.
In Japan, itโs especially common โ 70% of infants and toddlers sleep between their parents in whatโs affectionately called โthe river.โ ๐ฏ๐ต
Interestingly, Japan also has one of the lowest rates of SIDS, though the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) does not endorse bed-sharing.
โ
A safe alternative: room sharing โ keeping your baby in a bassinet beside your bed.
For many families, co-sleeping is also a practical choice due to space or cultural tradition.
Every familyโs setup is different โ safety and love should always come first. ๐
