Hey YouTube, Prepared Wanderer down the man cave
0:03
It's been a while since I shot a video so I want to show you a couple new products I
0:07
just got in from Roaring Fire Gear. They are a great new company that I've been working with and I'm really excited to show
0:15
you these products that they sent me. I think they're pretty neat so stick around
0:20
So I just got these new products in from Roaring Fire Gear and if you don't remember I did
0:26
a video a while ago on a Roaring Fire Gear sling pack that they came out with, the slingshot
0:32
Great pack, I love it, did a great review on it, really enjoyed it
0:36
So they contacted me, said they had some products they wanted to send me, wanted me to check them out, I said sure, take a look at them
0:44
And I was really intrigued by the products they were going to send me because there's something different that I haven't really seen before on the market
0:50
And the first thing we're going to look at is this Armadillo Mini Tool Roll
0:55
This whole tool roll concept is just very unique to me. It's something that I don't have a lot of experience with
1:01
I've never owned a tool roll before so I really didn't have any expectations on what to do
1:06
with this thing. But when I got it I was definitely thoroughly impressed and I want to show you what this
1:13
thing is all about. So what we're looking at here is an organizer that rolls up and then you're able to stuff
1:22
this into a pack or carry it along with you to a job site or a campsite or whatever
1:29
It's made from I believe a 16 ounce water resistant canvas material
1:34
It has Velcro patch panels here on the sides. I've got my name tape on there, buckles, wrap around straps to secure everything, and a
1:50
adjustable shoulder strap. So let's open this thing up and take a look at it
1:59
So a tool roll for organizing gear is kind of a new concept for me anyway
2:07
I know that with the building trades a lot of guys would use tool rolls probably for
2:12
wrenches and things like that so I've never really used anything like this for organizing my gear
2:16
But I thought this might be a great way to organize survival gear or bushcraft gear to
2:22
go into a larger pack and I wasn't disappointed, that's for sure
2:27
This thing is really well thought out and it really fits my needs perfectly
2:32
I think it's going to definitely be a useful product for me in the future
2:37
So the first thing here is we have a flap that kind of covers everything underneath
2:41
and it helps protect it. It also helps keep things where they're supposed to be
2:46
I think that's a pretty unique feature right there. I like that, nice
2:50
And then when you open this thing up, lots of pockets of different sizes to organize
2:56
your gear plus elastic along the top here to add additional items but also to secure
3:05
longer items if you need to. And then on the end over here there is a zipper pocket
3:15
And that has plenty of space to organize more gear. So I was a little skeptical on how much stuff this thing could actually hold and how valuable
3:30
it was going to be but once you start adding stuff to it and lay it all out you can tell
3:37
that it holds a lot of gear and it's really nice how this thing just opens up, lays out
3:42
and you're able to see everything, get to it and utilize it
3:47
I mean I even have a full size knife in here for bush crafting
3:52
It's an LT Wright knife right there. I've got glow sticks, a glow stick holder
4:02
I've got a flashlight. I've got my match safe right here
4:11
I've got another small knife there. I've got some fire starting sticks, a ferro rod, a sharpie pen, a Bic lighter
4:28
Over in this pocket I've got cordage. I've got a Sawyer water filter and a bag for it
4:38
So for survival tools, perfect, it works out great. This thing would be really great for someone who's into carving
4:46
If you're into carving and you have a lot of carving tools that you take with you out in the bush, this might be a good option for carrying your tools
4:56
Right now on Roaring Fire Gear, this tool roll along with this EDC pouch are on a bundled
5:04
special so you may want to check RoaringFireGear.com to check out their website and see what that
5:09
price is and see what you think about it. We're going to look at this here next but first we're still looking at this
5:14
I just wanted to mention that there is a deal going on these right now
5:20
But yeah, for carrying different types of tools, I mean even for a tool roll for your
5:25
truck to carry wrenches and things like that, this would be perfect
5:31
They really did a nice job designing this and the construction is well made
5:37
It seems to be very well built. I don't see any issues with it whatsoever
5:41
It's stitched very well. It's not cheap in any way. Overall, it's a nice product
5:49
It rolls up so nice and neat with these straps. You're able to cinch this thing down and really have a very compact, portable bunch of tools
6:08
with you wherever you go. Super cool product. Now, the second product is this gear organizer of theirs
6:17
There's a lot of different gear organizers on the market right now. I've seen a bunch of them from different companies
6:23
They're all a little bit different and RoaringFireGear definitely has made their mark on this one
6:29
It's different than anything I've seen. What makes this so unique is that this is actually a two-sided pouch
6:37
The first side is pretty traditional in that you've got your elastic keepers to organize
6:48
all your gear. You've got slip pockets in the back. You've got tie out points up here in the corner
6:57
You've got a keeper up here that can be removed. So lots of potential for organizing smaller items
7:09
But what's really cool is this thing opens up behind that onto another level
7:16
Now we've got pockets, which is great for bigger items. So I've got a Mylar blanket and a survival saw in this pouch back here
7:32
Two slip pockets right here, some cordage, some water purification tablets, some whirl
7:40
bags to purify water in. So lots of options for carrying gear
7:45
This would be an awesome pouch for medical gear. It's also great for EDC
7:51
Like I've got mine set up for survival gear. There's a lighter, a spool tool, matches
7:58
I've got a pocket knife and lighter, fire lighting ribbon, magnifying glass, ferro rod
8:03
pen, just all kinds of different things. And it is molly compatible
8:09
So if you really want to molly this to a larger pack, you can
8:19
Grab handle on the top, Velcro loop panel on the front for a patch
8:27
And then this shock cord in case you want to slip something in there
8:32
Just lots of options on how to use this thing. So organizing your gear is really important
8:38
It is for me anyway. I really like to keep my stuff organized. I don't like just big dump pouches of gear that you have to pour out on the ground and
8:45
look for stuff. This makes finding stuff so much easier and working with when you're out in the field
8:51
So I think this is a really nice option to look at from Roaring Fire Gear
8:58
And you can purchase this separately as well, but it is coming bundled right now with the
9:02
tool roll. So that's definitely an option for you. Once again, from Roaring Fire Gear, just a really well-made product
9:16
So once again, great products from Roaring Fire Gear. Really impressed with their product line
9:21
It's unique, it's different, they just have some cool stuff. Not a lot of junk in their product lineup for sure
9:28
It's all really seems to be very quality stuff. Everything I've received from them has been quality stuff and I've been impressed with
9:34
it and I just really like their designs. And that's what's important is that the company behind the product is designing these things
9:41
and they're coming up with really unique ideas that are different than what else is out on
9:45
the market. They're taking these kind of traditional products that have been on the market for a while and
9:52
putting their spin on it. And I definitely like the idea behind what they're doing
9:58
They're doing really good cool stuff and hopefully they come up with some more stuff to look at here in the future because I think it's pretty good
10:04
And you definitely want to check out their website. I know they've got some specials running on different products in the gear bundle like
10:09
I said before on the tool roll and the EDC pouch. So check that out
10:16
