Today's video, I'm going to show you what I consider the ultimate chest pack and chest

rig system on the market today. Stick around, we are going to get into it

So I'm out in Allegheny National Forest, Western Pennsylvania, and I'm going to be doing some

camping this weekend with some buddies. I brought along my brand new chest pack from Full Tang Tactical

So Full Tang Tactical makes this bag, the name of the bag, they call it a kit bag, and

it is a chest pack, very similar to the Hill People Gear kit bags and chest packs that

they make. And there's also a bunch of other ones on the market right now

Helican Tex makes one, there's a bunch of others, a lot of knockoffs, some very cheap

ones and some very nice ones. Full Tang Tactical, in my opinion, has taken that concept of a chest pack and really elevated

it to something that is just beyond anything else on the market

And the reason I say that is, is because it is so modular

You can take this thing literally from a weekend of wild camping and concealing your

handgun, backpacking, backcountry fishing or hunting, and then convert it very easily

into a tactical chest rig, complete with rifle magazine holding capabilities, first aid

blowout kit, radios, all that stuff. So I'm going to be wearing it this weekend, testing it out, seeing how it rides and see

how it feels, and I'm going to take you guys along and show you how this thing works for

So let's jump right into it and look at some of the features

So Hill People Gear, they're really the ones that I think kind of started this whole chest

pack phenomenon that's happening right now. They certainly were one of the first companies to really develop it and, you know, promote

it and show its capability to a lot of different people in different markets

I will confess right now, I have owned several Hill People Gear packs and I don't like them

And that doesn't mean that they're not quality or they're not good. They have just never really checked all the boxes for me

They're not very modular. I don't like the harness system on them

I think that could be a lot better. So what makes this chest pack different than the Hill People Gear or all the rest

Well, I think there's a couple of things. One is the harness system

As you can tell, it has a nice modular harness that you can completely take off the bag

One thing with the Hill People Gear chest packs, you cannot remove the harnesses completely

from their packs. So you're always stuck with them as just a chest pack

This you can remove the harness and then actually, you know, put the bag itself in a larger pack

for travel. That's a nice feature. The other thing with the Full Tang Tactical chest pack is the modularity of it

So we have a standard chest pack configuration up here, which is a large pouch that is going

to hold your concealed carry pistol. It is lined in Velcro front and back so you can add different pockets

And then back here, there is a slot and that is Velcro lined

And what you can do is you can add different pockets back here

So right now I have an admin pocket. So this is basically just an open pouch that is Velcro lined

But this whole pouch actually can be removed and then you can insert a triple rifle mag pouch

That way you have turned this into a standard like backpacking kit bag and turn it into

a tactical chest rig. So if you want to carry rifle mags, you can

So you can see the harness system. It's pretty nice. You've got this laser cut slots that actually is going to be used for moving this buckle

up and down. And that's going to adjust the height or the length of the harness

So if you have a longer torso or a shorter torso, you can adjust it fully

It is slightly padded. There's a nice kind of air mesh material on the backside

So that's going to help a little bit with moisture wicking. And what I love about it is it's an H harness, which I mean, I think as most people know

especially people who have worn chest rigs or LBEs in the military, that the H harness

really is the most comfortable kind there is. And then it wraps around to your quick release buckles here

And these can be moved up and down the side of the chest pack so you can help better fit it

And then the back panel is fully removable with Velcro

And now you can start adding other pouches. So if you have side wing pouches for radios or extra mags, you can do that

If you have a dangler pouch that you want to hang below for a med kit, you can do that

So what they've done is they've taken a standard kit bag and then kind of combined it with

a tactical chest rig. And that gives you all kinds of different possibilities of how you want to set this

thing up. On the bottom of it, there are grommets for drainage

So this will make a great fishing pack. There's also laser cut slots here

So you can add a tourniquet or a knife. There is laser cut slots on the front

And I was able to add this Mil-Spec Monkey mini admin pouch

Fits on there perfectly. It just gives me an external pouch for some quick grab and go items

Of course, we've got the waterproof zippers. Really a nice touch. Even the cord that they're using for the zipper pulls is super nice

It's that textured, kind of like a, almost like a 550 cord, but it's textured

It has ridges built in so you can actually feel this as you're trying to open it

And even on the sides of the pack, there is this laser cut molly

So you can put mag pouches on here, multi-tool pouches. I've added a Grimlock to mine so I can dangle gloves or other items off of my pack

And of course we've got Velcro on both sides. Now, what I've done is I've added this holster

This does not come with it. That holster is from Condor. And this fits my Canik subcompact perfectly

But as you can tell, there is tons of room. You could easily fit a larger frame pistol, like a 1911, a Glock 19, some of the SIGs

They're all going to fit in here. There's plenty of room. And then on this side, this is Velcro as well

And this panel is removable. And this is an additional panel that you can purchase from them

And it just gives you two nice large slot pockets that are also covered in Velcro so

you can add more organization to this. So the bottom line is that this bag has so much modularity to it and expansion capabilities

I've really enjoyed using it. Very comfortable wearing it. Carrying the load of my firearm and some essential items
