Remember When You Fast to Take It Slow
Feb 28, 2024
A Ramadan poem about the need to experience the holy month slowly:
Remember when you fast to take it slow,
As prayer, worship, love, and faith take time.
Mundane thoughts may quickly come and go;
A deeper thought might well one's life define.
Do, then, despite your thirst and hunger, savor
A holy month in which the soul finds favor,
Needing time to ride the undertow.
