Plant Spotlight: Angel's Trumpet (Brugmansia)

Angel's Trumpet are some of the most striking small 'trees' to grow with enormous trumpet shaped pendulous flowers that elegantly hang down from the tree. In most regions of the US this plant is best suited for containers, as it is hardy only to zone 8, but it is a quick grower and exceptionally striking. When the flowers are in bloom they produce an wonderful sweet fragrance, especially at night. This plant also has some very interesting hallucinogenic properties that make it very dangerous to consume, so make sure there is no foraging of the trumpet flowers!
