So I just want to share an experience I had with a CVS Minute clinic in Paoli, Pennsylvania
0:08
where I enrolled for a fasting blood work as part of a promotion with the American Heart Association
0:17
And I signed up for the first appointment of the day, and I waited almost a solid hour
0:24
Nobody showed up to the clinic, and then they canceled my appointment with no explanation
0:29
I have never heard from them to this day, and I'm mad
0:37
So last week, I had scheduled a fasting blood work appointment as part of a promotion that
0:48
they sent me an email about that they were collaborating with Go Red, which is the American
0:53
Heart Association. And the promotion ended on Saturday, May 15th. And I had an appointment originally on Friday
1:01
at like 1030 or something like that. And I got a call from them at right before that appointment
1:13
you know, just reminding me that I should fast. And of course, I just eaten breakfast
1:17
because there was nothing on the site telling me I should fast for this appointment. It wasn't
1:22
listed as a fasting appointment just said blood work or no, it actually, they promoted as a heart
1:27
check, heart check. And since my mother had passed away at 57, suddenly from heart attack, I've been
1:33
you know, naturally concerned about that my whole life. So I decided to go in, you know
1:41
for the heart check. And so when I got that call saying, you know, I needed to fast, I said, well
1:46
that's not going to work because I just ate breakfast. Can we reschedule it? And she said
1:50
well, the promotion ends tomorrow, let me look at the calendar. And she hemmed and hawed around for a while
1:56
And she finally said, well, I can fit you in right when we open at nine o'clock. It'll take about a half an hour
2:01
It should be fine. So I said, fine, nine o'clock is fine
2:05
Now for me, nine o'clock is actually like mid afternoon. Cause I a very early riser I get up at six in the morning So for me to fast until nine o that mainly for me not to have coffee Let just be real For three hours is you know is top
2:23
Right. So I, you know, I did it. And I showed up actually a little bit before nine o'clock
2:32
And they have a way of checking in through a kiosk. So I went and checked myself in
2:36
and I sat down and I waited and I waited and I waited and another lady showed up and did the
2:43
same thing she had an appointment at 9 20 for a um a COVID test because she was having surgery
2:50
and the doctor specifically said you have to come for this COVID test on Saturday I'm guessing
2:55
because her surgery was scheduled maybe for Monday and it had to be within a certain amount of time so she and I sat there for a while and finally 9 30 rolls around I'm like this is weird
3:04
because my appointment was at nine, you know, and I'm fasting and I'm getting hangrier and hangrier
3:10
The longer I wait, I went over to the pharmacist and I said, you know, what time do they open
3:16
And they said, you know, I don't really know. I think nine 30. And I was like, well, that's really
3:21
weird. Cause I had an appointment at nine and she had an appointment at nine 20. Why would they open
3:25
at nine 30? That doesn't make sense. So I sat down for a little bit longer, another five minutes or
3:31
so. And then I was like, you know what, let me go ask the manager of the store. So I went and found
3:36
the manager of the store. And she basically gave me this. It's not, it's not us. You know, we don't
3:41
have anything to do with MinuteClinic. They're a separate company completely, which I've learned
3:47
later is actually not true. And MinuteClinic was purchased by CVS recently. And so they are owned
3:53
by CVS. So they're not a separate company, but whatever this, the manager, you know, had nothing
3:59
to do with it. She had no knowledge of anything having to do with MinuteClinic. She was apologizing
4:04
profusely, but that's about all I got out of her. And then around a quarter to 10, now I've been
4:12
waiting 45 minutes at this point, I decided to go online and see if there's somebody I can contact
4:20
So I found a customer service number online and I called them explained the situation And she said I said okay I going to email the manager you know and see what going on And I said well can I leave my name and contact information so the manager can
4:35
call me back and just let me know, should I wait? Should I bet you like, is somebody coming like
4:41
right away? Or is it like an hour? Because I haven't eaten anything. And I'm like getting
4:46
you know, like it's getting late already at this point. And, and I know this is the last day of the
4:51
promotion also. And I'm looking at, you know, they have a digital calendar up on the wall. And so I
4:57
see that they have a full day booked already. So she said, well, I'll take your information
5:04
but I can't guarantee the manager will call you. And I'm like, really? Really? Okay. You know
5:12
so she takes my information. And then the next thing that happens is the manager of the CVS
5:19
comes over and tells the poor old lady sitting next to me that in fact the minute clinic that
5:24
they don't do covid tests at this location that you have to go to one of the drive-through
5:29
locations and she's like but i went online and they told me it was okay to come here you know
5:35
so she left um and you know aggravated and and then i suddenly get an email from minute clinic
5:44
canceling my appointment, like five minutes later, no explanation. It was one of those automatic
5:49
you know, like if you cancel an appointment, they send you an acknowledgement. Nothing more
5:53
was said about why no apology has been issued to me. Even to this day, I've not gotten a call
6:01
despite leaving my, my contact information, nothing. So then I, you know, I went online
6:07
cause I'm my, my business is text marketing and I do review generation and management. So I know a
6:13
little bit about the online review space. So I went online, I was going to leave them a proper
6:18
review. And you cannot leave a review for MinuteClinic. They have boxed you out. So you
6:24
you can't go on, they don't have a Google My Business page. So you can't leave a Google review
6:31
I didn't try Yelp, because I don't honestly think people look on Yelp for MinuteClinic
6:36
So I went to their website thinking maybe you know you can leave it directly on their website and you go to their website and they have a whole list of reviews right on their website and they all like ravingly glowing reviews but there no place to actually leave a review and so I sent an email in
6:56
to you know whatever contact you know contact us or whatever still haven't gotten any response
7:03
from them at all. And I'm just like dumbfounded that a place like this can continue to operate
7:09
with such shabby management and poor customer service. I will never go to them again. And of
7:15
course, the promotion has ended. So if I wanted to do the blood work at this point, I would have
7:19
to pay $75 for that or whatever, which I'd rather give it to my doctor, frankly, than
7:25
a minute clinic. So that was my experience. And I, you know, I have been telling literally
7:31
everybody I know about this because there's no place to put it online. So I got to do it person
7:36
to person. So I stumbled upon you guys and I thought, all right, well, this is at least
7:41
something. I mean, I, I think they owe me a very large apology and explanation and, and perhaps
7:48
just, you know, come back in and, and do the, the blood test at our expense because clearly they
7:54
were getting reimbursed by the American Heart Association for this promotion. That has ended
7:59
But they should just do the test for me at no cost, at my convenience. And don't make me wait
8:08
I mean, just do what I'm doing, which is get the word out any which way you can
8:13
because they don't make it easy. This particular company does not make it easy to provide feedback
8:21
which, you know, that's just the sign of a bad company if they don't want feedback
8:27
You know, feedback is how you improve. You know, and they clearly don't want feedback because they literally block you out
8:39
And I'm pretty good. I'm like really tech savvy. Like I said, I have a tech marketing company
8:44
I'm very tech savvy. I know my way around the Internet. There's no way to leave a review
8:48
I mean, maybe on Yelp, but that's not the best place to put it
