This review has to do with Cindy Crawford Home leather furniture and inferior materials
0:08
The reason I decided to go public with it is because Cindy Crawford Home does not have a mechanism by which you can contact them about the inferior products or the inferior materials they use to make their products
0:20
So I have no other way to let Cindy Crawford home know that the materials or the couches that I bought are actually inferior because they apparently don't want to hear it
0:36
All right. I bought I bought a couch and love seat nine years ago at a rooms to go store in San Antonio
0:45
beautiful couch and love seat leather in contact areas very comfortable that's one of the reasons
0:58
I bought them I checked them out in the store I laid down on them I sat down on them they can
1:04
put you to sleep just like that which is a great thing to have in a couch and a love seat and I
1:11
I bought leather for durability. However, what they started doing with leather furniture a while ago is leather is pretty expensive
1:25
So they started just putting leather on contact points where the human body actually contacts the sofa
1:32
I'm sitting on it right now on the loveseat. And leather is on the arms It on the back and it on the top of the seating surface which is all well and good I have no complaints at all about the leather
1:50
Leather is wearing fine. Everywhere else on the sofa, I was told by the store that they put bonded leather on the rest of it, which is some sort of, they grind up the leather and put it with polymer in it
2:04
But that's really not what's on this. What's on the rest of it is polyurethane leather or what they call pleather. And it's terrible. I mean, it just, if you buy leather furniture, you buy it for durability. I'm at nine years. I'm a single guy. Well, I'm not single anymore, but I was single when I bought it. I'm 65. I have no kids. I have no pets
2:32
So these things get relatively light use. And the pleather is flaking and falling off in areas on the cushions and on the back of the sofas
2:46
And it's because they contact each other. Not me. The cushions contact each other when you sit down on them
2:54
And it's just wearing everything away. And the cushions don't come off
2:58
I think I paid around $3,500 for these things nine years ago
3:06
don't know what that's worth today but right now I have to buy new furniture
3:13
so I went to Cindy Crawford home their website and they a very good sales website but there is absolutely no place to contact them about anything
3:29
So feedback is not something they're looking for. They're looking to sell their product, but they really don't want any feedback on it
3:38
I would just expect more out of such an investment. And I'm dissatisfied with it
3:46
But, you know, nine years, they might say, well, you've gotten your use out of it, but leather should last longer than that when you fork out that kind of dough
3:57
And I'm at a point in life where I have much more life behind me than I do in front of me
4:03
So that's where I am with Cindy Crawford. I'd love to give them feedback about their materials, but they apparently don't want to hear it
4:13
Well, I don't know what they could do with these, honestly. Um, the only thing solution for me, probably not because these things, I give it, I give
4:25
these things maybe another six months and they're going to be trash literally
4:30
Um, for other people though. Yeah. Make sure, uh, or for Cindy Crawford, make sure that, uh, they use quality material or
4:40
they use leather in all the contact points where the couch contacts itself as well as humans or
4:48
walls or anything else because what they used nine years ago is terrible. Well I find it very helpful
4:58
when I purchase something to do my due diligence as to what people think about the product whether it a car whether it electronics whether it a kitchen appliance or anything else
5:13
If somebody's going to buy Cindy Crawford home products, particularly something that
5:21
purports to be leather, they should be aware and they should be asking the proper questions
5:29
to whoever they're buying it from about what it's actually made of and what the durability is going
5:38
to be. Because usually when you think, oh, I'm going to buy a leather couch, I would expect it
5:43
to last. I mean, I've had people with leather couches for 35, 40 years, nine years and the
5:50
thing falls apart. It's not good. And it's not something that's easily fixed. So basically what's
5:58
going to happen here is this pleather is going to wear through and the stuffing is going to come out
6:04
is what's going to happen it's already starting to happen and i have no way of fixing it and i don't know who else is going to fix it
6:13
and make it look decent at a cost that would be reasonable so just for people to know about
6:22
cindy crawford home and their products and make sure that they ask the right questions
6:27
get the right answers and hopefully that Cindy Crawford will open up their website
6:33
to feedback and be able to provide answers because if you can't talk to them
6:40
or ask them questions you sure can't get answers from them
