Christopher Columbus' biography, history, life and contributions

Christopher Columbus, whose full name was Christopher Columbus and Moniz Perestrello, was born in Genoa, Italy, in 1451. Coming from a modest family, his childhood was marked by the influence of the sea and navigation, as his father, Domenico Colombo, was a weaver and wool merchant who also participated in maritime activities. Columbus learned the skills of navigation from an early age and demonstrated an innate interest in exploring the seas.
