I'm back with another video and today I'm going to be reviewing some new gel polishes

that are going to be released from Madam Glam today. They're going to be launching their Pot of Gold collection and so they did send me four

shades from their collection so I just wanted to show you guys what they are

So these are the four shades that they sent me. These look like some really beautiful vibrant colors for the upcoming spring slash summer

months so let's take a closer look at each of them. The first color we have here is Lucky Charm which is cute

That kind of fits the name of the new collection Pot of Gold. So let's take a look at it here

This is a really pretty kind of creamy yellowish orange color. This is definitely giving spring vibes, summer vibes

I love this really nice bright vibrant color. Next we have this green which is in Little Secret

This is a really beautiful pastel green. Really really nice. This is giving me Easter vibes you guys

Both of these colors are giving me Easter time. We have Orange Poppy

This is really pretty. I thought this would be a little bit more orangey than what it is but it actually looks

a little bit more peachy. It's a nice little peachy orange color

Last but not least we have here is Treasure. Very pretty. This here is a really beautiful kind of pinkish shimmer color

These are the two colors from their last collection for Valentine's Day so it definitely is a

So let's kind of take a look at them side by side. This one here is Glazed Amour

Okay, now they're definitely different. But yeah, it does look like they're made of that same consistency or whatnot

You see it looks like they're made with that same foil glitter shimmer that's kind of in there

So that's pretty cool that they're coming out with more of those. So this one kind of gives me more of a rose gold vibe

Today, I want to do a really quick demo on how to do the Optical Illusion Heart Nails

I've been seeing that. I've been seeing a couple of people do it. Most recently, I saw Cease Tutorials do it on her channel

She did it with a Pop Art stand on it, which I thought was really cool

I'm just going to do it like the basic version so you all can kind of see how to do it

It's like an optical illusion within an illusion. I do have a stiletto nail tip here

I'm going to be going in. I think I'm going to use these two colors here

I'm going to use Lucky Charm as well as Orange Poppy to do this design

It's really quick, simple, and easy. I've done this design on my channel before

I am going to go ahead and leave a picture of what they look like

Last time I did them, I added a little bit of bling and everything. This time, I'm going to do it with the spin by adding the heart on the inside of it

First, I'm going to go in with Orange Poppy on the left side of the nail

When you do this design, you really just want to paint half of the nail

Then you'll do the other half of the nail with the other color. Okay

Let's see. I think I did a little bit more than half, but that's okay

On the other side, I'm going to go in with Lucky Charm and paint over here

The goal is going to be to try to blend them in the middle so that we can get that ombre effect. Yeah

I think I went too far in, so let me go ahead and clean that off here

This design is really easy to do, but again, I think I went a little bit too far over with that peachy color

I'm just going to go down the middle and just wipe away some of that orangey color. Okay

Like so. I'm going to take just a smidge more of it off of this side

Like so. We want it to really fade and blend into the other side

Now I'm going to go in again with my Lucky Charm color and just try to get that as close

to the middle as possible. Okay. Like so. Yeah, that's perfect. Oops. Okay

I'm just going to go ahead and thicken it up a little bit, make it a little bit more opaque

You want to make sure you don't contaminate your brush. If you do, you just go ahead and wipe it off before you put it back in the bottle

I'm going to go ahead and fill this side in just a little bit more

Like so. Okay. Then I'm also going to just kind of go up top here and just kind of fill in that little

gap we have. All right. Then from there, she did it a little bit of an easier way

See, when I watched her tutorial, she did it a little bit easier. She did a dotting tool, right

She just went down the middle and just kind of swirled the two colors together, which

I thought was kind of cool. I guess this gives it more of an easier blend

She just went down and just like swirled it together. Like so

Then she just took a nail art brush, and I'm going to go in just with my ombre brush here

Then she just kind of smoothed it out. Let's see if that works for me

Oh, snaps, I think it does. Look at that. It's just as easy as one, two, three

Wow, you guys. Yep. Easy ombre. Look at that. The color blends very smoothly into the other one

Yeah, I like that. All right, cool. Go ahead and cure. That is what the first coat is looking like

I'm going to go in with a second coat of polish just to build up that opacity

This time, I'm going to go in with Lucky Charm first. Again, you just want to paint half of the nails

I'm just going to paint half of the nail in this beautiful kind of yellowy-orange color

Like so. Okay. That looks good. Then I'm going to go in on the other side with Orange Poppy and paint the other side

I think I'm going to just turn it this way. Like so. Again, you just want it to be right there at the middle

You want them to barely touch each other at the middle. Like so

Again, that's just to build up some opacity in the nail. Beautiful

I'm going to go in with this yellow here and just fill that in right there at the top. Okay

Again, I'll go in with my dotting tool and then I'll just swirl the two colors together

in the middle. Like so. Like so. Okay. Then I'll take my ombre brush again and I'll just smooth out the color like so

That really does create a perfect blend. I like that. Beautiful, you guys. Beautiful

Beautiful ombre. I'll go in here. This is what the nail is looking like with two coats of that

That blend is just flawless, you guys. I love it. The trick to this is to now paint the opposite color on top of the original color

On the Lucky Charms side, so on the yellow side, I'm now going to paint this orange color

on top. I'm going to go ahead and try to do it in the middle like I did before

I'm going to do straight down like so. Then on the other side, now we're going to paint it yellow

This is what's going to create the illusion, the trick. We'll go ahead and paint this like so

Okay, like so. From there, you guys, you'll go ahead and swirl in the middle with the dotting tool

again to mix the two colors like so. Okay. Then you'll go ahead and use your ombre brush to smooth out the middle like so

Beautiful. Now, before you cure, you want to draw a little heart in the middle

I have a round gel brush here. I'm just going to dip it in some acetone

Then I'm going to go in and try to carve out a heart. Wish me luck on this

Again, the goal is to try to make a heart. It's not looking so hot right now
