Hello, Paul here, Norway. I'm in Oslo and right now I'm walking in Frogner Park, which is a huge park that we have on the west side of Oslo
0:16
And inside the Frogner Park you also find Wigeland's Parken or the Wigeland Installation
0:24
That's an official name, which is a huge sculpture park. with sculptures and figures by Norwegian artist Gustav Vigran
0:36
And this is one of the main attractions in Azo. And a must see if you come here to visit
0:43
It's been snowing all night. So all the sculptures are covered with a layer of snow and it looks really magical
0:51
So on the bridge, which is where I'm walking now, there are 58 bronze sculptures
0:58
All of them were modeled by Liglom but he had a lot of help doing the casting of course I think this part can best be described as a tribute to humanity Because that is what you find here you find people
1:14
in all kind of different phases of life, different moods, and now they're happy, they're playful
1:23
they're sad, you see joy, you see family situations, couples, love, hate, a lot of, a lot of, um, a lot of, um
1:33
of impressions to take in here and I'm standing next to one of the more well-known
1:38
more popular one and that's this boy here which we call sinna taggen which means
1:43
the angry boy and they say it's good luck to touch his left hand so touching his left hand
1:51
hoping that will bring me some good luck here today As a local someone who lives in Oslo I am super fortunate to be able to come here all the time
2:23
check out this beautiful park. I think today I'm extra lucky. It's a beautiful carpet of snow, which is just covering everything
2:33
And this is also a place where I do a lot of local guiding from a local guide in Oslo
2:37
And I just love bringing visitors to Oslo up here. I'm coming to the next part here which is the fountain
2:46
I'm walking next to the fountain here and surrounded by the fountain are trees with the humans sort of entangled inside them
2:56
This is called the circle of life where you can sort of follow humanity from birth and up to different stages of life
3:07
Young adulthood, becoming adults, becoming old. becoming old and eventually death and then being reborn again and the cycle continues
3:19
Walking up towards the third stage here now which is called the monolith plateau because there a huge monolith standing here carved out of one piece of granite so this was just a short visit to one of my
3:35
favorite places in asla maybe in the hall of norway if you want to see more blogs like this i am
