I'm Joost and I'm here today with the American Crew pomade and it is pretty wet
0:03
and it holds my hair pretty well as you can see. So the hold is very strong and it smells a little bit sea breezy
0:12
It smells a little bit like your standard gel to be honest
0:15
It has a very basic design and it's a little bit of a cheaper brand to be honest
0:20
As you can see the label is not quite centered here. It's just put on there but of course it's about what's inside
0:28
And this is a pretty gooey substance. Very wet and sticky so what I like to do is rub that across my hands
0:35
and then immediately apply that to my hair and just push it a little up
0:39
I like my hair up and spiky and this heavy hold is really perfect for that
0:43
Then I just take a little bit extra and do the back and sides of my hair again just to make sure that it stays in place all day
0:49
So this is a very strong hold with a very basic gel-like smell
0:53
but it doesn't get crunchy in your hair so you can remold this during the day
0:57
Just apply a little water so you can reshape your hair again. And I also tried it on the longer hair of my son
1:03
It's great for like a little bit of a slicked back look but I like to push his hair a little to the side
1:09
Make it just a little bit messy. So this one doesn't have the highest shine of all of the pomades I've seen
1:13
but it does have a pretty high shine. But a lot more shine than like a matte lay or a cream
1:20
But you can still get a little bit of a messy look out of this one. So I think the American Crew pomade is perfect for those who want a heavier hold
1:27
And a little bit of shine to keep your hair in place all day
