Fresh Strawberry Pie
Ingredients:
1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust
3 pounds fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup granulated sugar
⅓ cup water
3 tablespoons cornstarch
Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Strawberries: Arrange the strawberries in the pre-baked pie crust.
Make the Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes clear.
Coat the Strawberries: Pour the glaze over the strawberries in the pie crust, making sure they are evenly coated.
Chill: Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours or until the glaze is set.
Serve: Top with whipped cream if desired and enjoy!
