what's up guys for those of you who
0:01
don't know me my name is eloise but you
0:04
know me as fit waffle i am fit waffle on
0:07
instagram tik tok and
0:08
youtube but today we are here to make
0:12
one of my favorite brunches which is
0:14
cinnamon french toast
0:16
sticks so we're gonna get our
0:17
ingredients together now and
0:23
okay so we're gonna grab our ingredients
0:26
obviously we're gonna need
0:27
our bread and we're also going to grab
0:37
our milk so i'm using wholemeal you can
0:41
and the bread is from our local bakery
0:44
we're gonna slice it ourselves
0:45
so here's all our ingredients it's a
0:47
simple recipe so you don't need much
0:49
we've got some strawberries and
0:51
blueberries for the topping
0:52
we've got our bread which we're gonna
0:54
slice into batons we've got
0:56
two eggs 60 milliliters of milk we're
0:59
going to use a pinch of salt
1:01
some butter for the pan granulated sugar
1:04
cinnamon for the cinnamon sugar and then
1:06
we're going to use some maple syrup
1:08
for pouring this serves one to two
1:11
people well depending on how hungry you
1:14
you're also gonna need a whisk and a
1:17
saucepan and some tongs there are some
1:21
you can use a sugar-free syrup you can
1:23
use sweetener instead of sugar
1:25
you could use a spray instead of butter
1:27
and skimmed milk if you wish
1:29
obviously you can use whatever bread you
1:31
want so you can play around with the
1:34
all right let's get cooking i'm gonna
1:35
start by slicing our bread we don't need
1:38
the ends so i'm going to cut
1:40
the end off so we're going to use this
1:44
bit and it needs to be about an
1:53
so now we've got our slices of bread i'm
1:54
going to take the crust off
2:01
so you've got your crustless piece of
2:02
bread and now you're going to cut it
2:09
so here's our battens and these are what
2:11
we're going to be dipping in
2:12
the egg mix next you need your eggs and
2:15
you're going to crack these
2:22
then you need your milk and you're going
2:26
we're also going to add a pinch of salt
2:29
and you're going to whisk these together
2:31
okay so we're going to pop that to the
2:32
side and we're going to heat our pan
2:35
okay so now for the cooking my pan is
2:37
warm so i'm gonna pop the butter
2:40
into the pan okay it's very sticky so
2:43
the butter's all melted in the pan it's
2:45
on about a medium heat
2:47
and i'm basically just going to roll the
2:51
in the egg mixture you don't need to
2:54
pop it straight into the pan
2:58
so i'm going to do this with all of them
3:02
and they're going to need about a minute
3:13
so this is where you need your tongs
3:15
you're basically going to check
3:17
whether they're golden so it's not quite
3:18
done yet so i'm going to leave that one
3:22
okay right that's looking good so i'm
3:24
going to start to turn
3:30
okay so whilst these are cooking on
3:32
their final size i'm gonna make our
3:35
so you need your 20 grams of granulated
3:37
sugar i'm going to pour that into a cup
3:40
just to make it easier i'm also going to
3:43
teaspoon of cinnamon and i'm going to
3:48
into the cup it will ever come out
3:51
okay that was a bit too much
3:54
okay so i'm just going to whisk those
3:56
together with a spoon
3:57
so literally it's just cinnamon and
4:01
you're just gonna mix them together so
4:05
so i'm now going to pour that onto a
4:11
spread it out if you wish because this
4:14
is what we're going to be
4:15
rolling our freshly cooked french toast
4:19
so they are pretty much there i'm just
4:23
and just toast the ends of them slightly
4:26
i'm getting excited because i'm so
4:30
okay so these are basically done now so
4:33
turn off the heat and i'm going to roll
4:36
straight into the cinnamon sugar so you
4:39
can use your fingers if you want but be
4:40
careful they will be hot
4:42
so i'm just going to fully coat that in
4:44
the sugar making sure you get all the
4:48
and we're going to plate up these smell
5:07
so here are our freshly made cinnamon
5:12
now we can dress them with our fruit we
5:15
dip so i'm actually gonna dip this i
5:18
but i'm gonna dip my french toastic in
5:28
that is so good let's sprinkle some
5:33
you could also use banana with this so
5:35
i'm gonna put mine on the side
5:37
maybe a bit on top you know we're just
5:39
going to go wild with this
5:40
all those blueberries do not want to
5:45
so as you can see i'm obviously hungry
5:48
a lot of attention is going into this
5:53
how's that looking i feel like that's
6:07
our french toast sticks
6:26
