how to setup virtual desktop

hello everyone today i will be showing

you how to easily set up virtual desktop

for your oculus quest device

now you want to go ahead and open up

your browser and head on over to

vr desktop.net after you have purchased

virtual desktop for your oculus quest if

you're using the device

now there is a rift version these

versions are separate from each other

so you want to make sure you purchase

the right one

for your oculus quest so we're going to

go ahead and download

the streamer app and click on save

file

you're going to go ahead and want to

install it

and click on next

i will already have it installed so

after you have installed it

go ahead and close the install after

you've finished installing

virtual desktop now you want to go ahead

and

head on over to sidequest this is

important

an important part of the steps you want

to go ahead and type in

virtual style it'll be the first one

that appears

it'll be the patch version to allow you

to play steam games

this is a necessary step if you want to

play steam games

so after you have installed you want to

go ahead and click on install

to headset inside

the app itself like so

after you have installed it you want to

go ahead and open it

xock streamer and once you have opened

this up you want to enter in your oculus

username and then you want to click on

this this will be unchecked the first

time and click on allow remote

connections

so this way it can detect it inside of

your headset

now that you're inside of your oculus

device you want to go ahead and go to

your library and open up

virtual desktop software

as you can see i have it here

this means that it's working if you see

this spacey world here as you see i got

my desktop here

and everything is all spiffy and nice

you want to make sure you have a five

gigahertz router

or an ethernet cable connected to your

computer

uh for best connections that's what i

would uh this

is how you can get virtual desktop

installed and working on your computer

and you can now use it and you can

indeed play vr games using it

after you do the uh sidequest patch

so yeah this is it in full functionality
