Hi guys, welcome back to my channel for
0:06
another video if you are returning.
0:08
Today we're going to be talking about
0:10
confidence, a topic that I honestly was
0:13
putting off for so long, but it is very
0:15
highly requested. And the reason is
0:16
because I never felt like I was eligible
0:18
to talk about this just cuz I didn't
0:20
feel confident in myself. And now I
0:22
finally feel like I'm at a place with
0:23
myself where I'm actually very
0:24
comfortable in my skin. And yeah, let's
0:26
get into the video. When it comes to
0:27
confidence, it has everything to do with
0:29
the way that you view yourself. So, if
0:30
you don't like yourself, you will never
0:32
be really and truly confident or at
0:34
least it won't come from a genuine
0:36
place. It will always be an act in a
0:38
way. Everything starts with having a
0:40
self-concept because when you have a
0:42
positive self-concept, you are far more
0:44
likely to be authentically confident.
0:46
So, let's start with discipline. The
0:48
most confident and humble people that I
0:51
know are the most disciplined. I talked
0:53
about this in my last video about
0:55
learning to trust yourself and this is
0:57
where I think the two go hand in hand
0:59
because discipline is an act of
1:00
self-love. When you show up for yourself
1:03
in the moments that you said you were
1:04
going to show up, you send a signal to
1:06
the emotional body. You send a signal to
1:07
the inner child that you can trust
1:09
yourself. And when you trust yourself,
1:11
there's no reason for you to not be
1:13
confident. I will not lie and tell you
1:15
that trust comes easily because it's the
1:18
same as building trust with somebody
1:19
else. It takes a while, right? So it's
1:20
the same thing with yourself. If you've
1:22
betrayed yourself long enough, it's
1:24
going to take you a while to begin to
1:26
trust yourself again. The more that you
1:28
show up for yourself, the easier it'll
1:29
be, though. When I look into the mirror
1:30
and I see something that I don't like, I
1:33
always ask myself, "Whose eyes am I
1:35
wearing?" Because I guarantee you didn't
1:37
always feel the way that you did about
1:39
yourself or about your features or
1:40
whatever it is you're insecure about
1:41
until somebody else pointed it out. I
1:43
think people will make you feel very
1:44
vain for wanting to look nice or to like
1:48
what you see. I think that's a
1:50
completely natural thing. Why? Why
1:51
shouldn't you like what you see when you
1:53
look into the mirror? Why shouldn't you
1:54
feel comfortable in your skin? Part of
1:56
exuding that energy comes with having a
1:59
great sense of style. For me personally,
2:01
putting myself together or accessorizing
2:03
myself in ways that I think are very fit
2:05
to the way that I want to show up in the
2:08
world and what I want to emulate. And
2:10
so, I want to thank Teddy Blake because
2:12
they were kind enough to send me this
2:14
beautiful, beautiful bag. I picked the
2:16
color, I picked the style, and
2:17
everything, but it is gorgeous. I just
2:19
love accessories to add a little bit of
2:21
touch, you know? I'm somebody who goes
2:23
for more like classy pieces and more
2:26
like they look like they're from another
2:28
time type of thing. I don't know. I just
2:30
fell in love with it. I'm definitely in
2:32
my more dark color era right now. I
2:35
selected the Kim Crocco in this deep
2:37
wine color and I will leave a link in
2:40
the description if you guys are
2:41
interested. Honestly, there was so many
2:42
options to choose from. It was so hard
2:44
to narrow it down to just this one. But
2:46
the reason I chose this one is because
2:48
it just feels and looks more elegant to
2:50
me. To my surprise, it's actually quite
2:52
spacious. Like I wore this already with
2:54
an outfit of mine. And I was able to fit
2:56
everything, my phone, my makeup purse,
2:58
like any little knick-knacks I had to
3:00
carry. Maybe you'll see one that you
3:01
like. I don't know if you guys are
3:02
interested if you are a bag girly. As
3:04
I've reached my 20s, I've just been
3:06
getting into bags so much more. So, I
3:08
just feel like this just came at the
3:09
perfect timing. They do make their bags
3:11
with premium Italian leather. So, it is
3:13
made in Italy if anybody's wondering.
3:14
And I feel like I could tell that the
3:16
leather was a little bit different
3:17
because it just feels a little bit more
3:18
thicker and more sturdy. They do ship
3:20
internationally as far as I know. So if
3:22
you guys are interested, I will leave
3:24
the link in the description again. Now,
3:26
let's get back to the video. I think one
3:28
of the biggest mistakes that people make
3:29
is thinking to themselves, I have to be
3:32
like this person in order to be
3:33
confident. They derive value from the
3:36
validation that somebody else gets and
3:37
thinks if I do everything exactly the
3:39
same way as this person did, that I'm
3:41
going to get the same validation. If I
3:42
act like her, I'll receive the right
3:44
treatment. If I do this like her, might
3:46
I do my makeup like her, whatever it is,
3:47
I'm going to get the right treatment.
3:48
And I'm telling you, you won't, my love.
3:50
You will not. Real confidence is built
3:52
within yourself, but it's also built
3:54
within not wanting to be anybody else,
3:56
but improving the you that you already
3:58
are. When you try to be like anybody
3:59
else, you've already lost. If you look
4:01
at the features on your own face and
4:02
think about how can I maximize what I
4:05
was born with, or how can I maximize my
4:07
own aesthetic, my own style, the music
4:09
that I listen to, how can I showcase
4:11
that? that would make a lot more sense
4:13
than doing things only because they're
4:14
trendy. You waste so much money when you
4:16
try and keep up with every single trend.
4:18
And some of those trends, most of those
4:20
trends don't even suit you. This is
4:22
where embracing what's most natural to
4:24
you matters the most. When I was a lot
4:26
younger, I was like quite introverted
4:27
and very chill. But it made me really
4:31
envious at a certain point in my life.
4:32
It made me kind of envious of people who
4:34
were very outgoing and expressive and
4:36
just always had so many friends because
4:37
they would get invited to like these
4:39
really cool things. like they would
4:40
naturally attract people because of
4:42
their demeanor. It's only as an adult
4:44
that I've come to really appreciate that
4:45
side of me and realize like if I'm an
4:47
introvert, let me embrace being an
4:48
introvert. Like I accepted the fact that
4:50
it just takes me a little bit longer to
4:52
get comfortable with people and to like
4:54
open up. And I actually don't mind
4:55
leaving the party a little bit early to
4:56
go home and sleep or meditate or read or
4:58
just like spend time by myself. I
5:00
actually don't mind that anymore. I
5:01
don't shame myself for that anymore
5:04
because that's what's always been the
5:06
most natural to me. Can that change? Of
5:08
course. I've acknowledged that too. But
5:09
for now, I'm satisfied because I'm
5:11
always trying to turn my weaknesses into
5:13
an asset. Let's talk about learning.
5:15
Confident people never stop learning
5:17
because they know that knowledge is only
5:19
going to add to their pre-existing
5:20
abilities. You have to have passions and
5:23
hobbies because it makes you attractive.
5:25
You guys, I said this before and I'm
5:27
going to say it again. It makes you
5:28
attractive when you don't make
5:30
everything about everybody else and you
5:32
actually focus on what it is that you
5:33
love. To see someone so passionate and
5:36
devoted to something is the most
5:38
admirable thing you can witness. I don't
5:40
think people prioritize branching out
5:42
enough. The time and effort that you put
5:43
into these things will make you
5:45
confident, but it's not something that's
5:46
built from just doing nothing. People
5:48
work out. People find new ways to make
5:50
money. People network all the time. They
5:52
listen to different music genres. They
5:54
break out of what they're used to. All
5:56
of these may sound like small things,
5:59
like very insignificant things, but
6:00
trust me, it makes all the difference.
6:02
So the way to truly be confident is to
6:04
enjoy life because that is literally
6:06
your sole purpose here. To enjoy your
6:08
body, to enjoy food, to enjoy music, to
6:10
enjoy the smaller things in life, but
6:12
also the finer things in life. The way
6:13
that I've learned to be confident is by
6:16
improving myself constantly. And I think
6:18
everything that happens in my life is
6:20
revol like it's always centered around
6:22
this one thing, which is that I want to
6:23
grow. And whatever I'm going through, I
6:25
know I can learn. Let me constantly be a
6:27
student and let that be the purpose of
6:30
my life. And trust me, that's an amazing
6:31
way to live. So, I thank you guys so
6:34
much for watching today's video. I hope
6:35
you guys took something from it or it
6:37
helped you in some way. And if it did,
6:39
let me know. And I will see you guys in
6:41
the next one. Bless you.
