So first of all, I have to apologize. I lost the sound to the original audio of this recording
0:07
so I'm having to come in later and put my voice in. So you won't hear any sounds in this video
0:13
You'll just hear me talking, just so you know. Okay, we finally made it to step number four for switch number one of the DIY 3220 point breadboard project
0:26
earlier we left off with putting on this green wire onto terminal number three and now what we need to do is get another green wire
0:40
We're going to take another piece of green wire and this time we're going to take about a 12 inch piece of green wire
0:49
And then just like before, I'm going to take one end of the wire and I want to strip about an eighth of an inch or so
0:56
off the end to expose the wire and then I'll give it a few twists
1:07
Okay we have our green wire now about 12 inches and what we going to do is we going to take the green wire and we want to attach it to terminal number four
1:19
As we can see here on the schematic, terminal number four for switch number one
1:25
Here it's a purple wire, but in reality we're going to be using a green wire
1:32
We want to take our green wire and attach it to pen number four
1:38
So if we look at the switch here, right here is where terminal number four is
1:49
So what I'm going to do is get my helping hands now. And I'll place the switch or have the helping hands hold the switch for me
2:00
And I'm going to rotate it a little bit so we can see a little bit better. and just as we did with the previous steps, I'm going to tin the end of the wire that we just
2:13
stripped the stripped end, and then I'll end up tending the terminal number four
2:20
That way it make it a little easier to solder the two together So I go ahead and tin the wire and then I will tin terminal four of switch one here
2:44
Okay, now I'm gonna take the wire and I'll come in from the top
2:49
I'll just rotate this. a little bit more so we can see a little better
2:58
So I'll take the wire and I'll put it in like this
3:03
and then solder it all together. Now we just need to take
3:14
another piece of heatring tubing and I just need enough to cover that end of the terminal and wire that connected together to keep it protected from any other conductors in the circuit later on and that way we won get any shorts or anything like that So I just slip it all the way down to the end
3:50
Making sure I cover up the terminal and the wire that's exposed
3:54
then I'll take the heat gun, and I will heat the tubing from all directions
4:04
until the tubing has completely shrunk around the area
4:18
Okay, that looks good. I'll put the heat gun away. And there we have it
4:26
We now have all the terminals and wires connected that we need for switch number one
4:32
And then next we will work on switch number two and all the steps that we need to prepare that switch
4:40
And then we'll have both of our switches, switch one and two, prepped and ready to go for later on in the build process
