iPhones. Let's get into it. Your

measuring unit. One bottle, two bottles,

one car, two cars, that kind of a thing.

So one watt, two watts, 3 watts, 5

watts. The higher the wattage, the

higher the power that is being passed

through to your smartphone, to your

laptop, to your TV, to anything that

uses electricity. Standard charging

using a USB cable is 5 W.

If you have been around for a long time,

you'll remember the time when we did not

have fast charging yet. It took hours

for our phones to charge. Sometimes a

minimum of 3 hours to get the battery of

your phone full. Scientists came up with

an idea. If we pump more power into the

phone, we can charge it up faster than

usual and reduce the number of hours

that users have to wait for their phones

to get charged. Brilliant idea. There's

a problem also. And the problem is this

that when you pump more power into a

phone or into any device actually, it's

going to heat up a bit because you're

putting in more power, more effort, more

pressure.

it's going to heat up a bit. In fact,

it's going to heat up a lot depending on

how much power you're putting in. They

fixed that. And how was that fixed? For

the period where you're topping up the

battery up to about 60 to 70, in some

cases up to 80%, the charger pumps in

Sometimes 18, sometimes it's 20,

on how powerful the fast charger is. The

So during that period, the battery of

Some of those problems will mean that

we have a challenge. There are different

types of fast charging standards and

technologies. Yes, different types. And

what does that mean? It means the fast

charging that you see in a OnePlus phone

may not work in a Samsung phone, may not

work in a Google Pixel or an iPhone.

Some of these standards are more common

than others. Let's go through the

different available types and standards

of fast charging. Power delivery. PD, if

you're looking through the specs of

phones, sometimes you see PD, PD 2.0, P,

PD 3.0. That's power delivery. Power

delivery is an open standard that is

becoming really widespread.

Lots of manufacturers are using it.

Apple uses it, Samsung uses it, Google

Pixel, Motorola, and you will also find

it in quite a number of other top brands

in the market.

It works with USBC. Pretty much every

power delivery,

every power delivery fast charger uses a

USBC to USBC cable. I recommend to you

adopt power delivery as your standard

fast charging technology for using your

If you use an Apple, Samsung, Google

is used by all the top manufacturers.

So, you can't go wrong with that. It

Samsung has a proprietary fast charging

Almost every Samsung charger or adapter
