Best Video Editing App: How To Edit Videos For YouTube In Mobile Phone
Aug 15, 2025
Which is the best video editing for Android mobile phones? I had tried out multiple editing apps for YouTube video, TikTok video, and other platforms. I found none quite comfortable until I came across a particular one. In this video, I share what I consider the best video editing app for me, how to edit videos for YouTube with the app, what exactly you can do with it, and where to download it. #bestvideoeditingapp #bestvideoeditingappforandroid #bestvideoeditorforandroid #bestvideoeditingapps

Which app is best for video editing?
0:03
Especially if you want something that's
0:04
very easy to use on your smartphone.
0:07
Come right with me.

I was looking for a video editing app
0:19
for creating YouTube videos, Tik Tok
0:22
videos, Instagram videos and the like. I
0:25
am not by default a video creator.
0:28
Text and images are my primary means of
0:33
communication. I started out as a a
0:35
blogger over 20 years ago. All my life I
0:38
have done typing and publishing. And
0:42
when I decided to give video a chance, I
0:44
needed a video editing app that would
0:46
not stress me. Nothing complicated, no
0:49
steep learning curve. And there are a
0:52
number of great video editing apps out
0:54
there. Eventually, I settled for one,
0:56
and it's one made by Google. The name is
1:00
YouTube Create. YouTube Create. This is
1:05
what the icon looks like. That's YouTube
1:08
Create. It's a video editing app
1:11
developed by Google. And of course, what
1:14
they had in mind was for YouTube
1:17
creators, people who were looking to
1:19
create YouTube videos. What sold me was
1:23
the fact that I found it very easy to
1:25
use. You have the most basic controls at
1:28
the bottom here. And what are the
1:30
controls? You can import overlays. Those
1:34
are media, either video or images that
1:36
you superimpose on the original video
1:40
that you're doing. You can add text with
1:43
animations. You can add stickers, add
1:46
background sound, do voiceovers,
1:50
add captions.
1:52
You can change the canvas. You can
1:54
change the aspect ratio. This is the
1:57
vertical aspect ratio for doing shots.
1:59
You can always change that to a
2:03
horizontal aspect ratio for proper long
2:06
form YouTube video. You can change it to
2:09
a square. If you want to post elsewhere
2:13
where that is a need, there are a number
2:17
of nifty things you can do with it. Oh,
2:20
also you can split the video. That means
2:23
you can trim, cut, you can stitch
2:26
multiple videos together, you can adjust
2:28
the volume, you can mute the video, you
2:31
can fade, you can apply a fade effect,
2:35
you can find beats, you can do audio
2:38
cleanup. So, if you're recording and
2:40
there are children crying in the
2:42
background or a vehicle drives past and
2:45
that sound is now in your video, you can
2:49
get it cleaned up. It's not perfect, but
2:52
yes, it works most times.
2:55
You can duplicate a clip. You can
2:58
replace. You can rotate.
3:02
You can pretty much do all of the basics
3:07
that you need to do to get your video
3:10
out. You can also apply effects. I
3:12
believe I have shown you that there are
3:14
effects
3:16
that you can apply to your videos. And
3:20
it's that simple. I mentioned that you
3:23
can add background sounds. Zero cost
3:25
royaltyfree soundtracks cut off Google
3:29
pulled from the YouTube audio library.
3:32
It's beautiful. You can search, find the
3:35
types you like, stitch them together.
3:38
You can use multiple soundtracks. You
3:40
know, after you're done with this one,
3:42
different soundtracks start from that
3:44
point. It does not have all the fancy
3:49
features that you'd find in more
3:51
advanced video editors like Capcot and
3:53
Inv video and all of those. But if you
3:56
want to do a little bit more editing, be
4:00
more flexible, be more creative with
4:02
them without having to go back to
4:05
school,
4:06
without having to pick up a textbook, I
4:09
tried my hands at lots of other apps.
4:11
They just didn't cut it for me. But the
4:13
very day I downloaded YouTube create and
4:16
gave it a spin, I said, "Yes, this was
4:18
what I needed." It may not be perfect
4:21
for everyone. But if you are looking for
4:24
a mobile based video editor and one that
4:29
does not have a steep learning curve, I
4:32
recommend YouTube Create. I do all of my
4:35
YouTube video recording and editing on
4:39
my phone. I'm recording this with a
4:41
phone and I have YouTube create
4:44
installed on that phone. When I am done,
4:47
all the editing will be done on that
4:48
phone and the uploading will be done
4:52
from that phone. When you're done
4:54
editing your video and you need to
4:55
upload, you can upload in a number of
4:59
options. For example, you can choose a
5:02
higher frame rate. You can choose
5:04
between 30 and 60 frames pers. You can
5:09
choose between 4K video resolution,
5:12
1080p resolution, and 720p. I really
5:17
don't advise that you upload video in
5:18
720p anymore. Your minimum should be
5:21
1080p. And if you can do 4K, great. The
5:25
higher the quality of the videos that
5:27
you upload, the better. It has on the
5:30
homepage all the videos you have worked
5:33
on listed there. They are all stored on
5:36
your phone. Yes. So, here's another
5:38
thing. If you have been creating videos
5:42
with YouTube Create for months, you are
5:44
going to have a lot of videos stored up
5:46
on your phone, taking up storage space.
5:49
In fact, I learned this the hard way. My
5:52
phone storage began to run out. And I
5:54
kept wondering, where are these things
5:57
that are eating up my storage?
6:00
It was the videos that I had been
6:03
creating with YouTube Create. they were
6:06
gobbling up space. So, make sure that
6:08
from time to time you come here and you
6:10
delete. When you tap this three dots
6:15
beside a video, you have rename. So, you
6:17
can name each of your videos. You can
6:19
duplicate them and then you can delete.
6:22
So, if you have been creating videos for
6:24
a long time and you have 20, 30, 40, 50
6:27
videos here in YouTube create, it's
6:29
probably time to delete some of those
6:31
videos. Unless of course your phone has
6:33
1 TBTE or maybe 512 GB storage. I have
6:38
done most of my content creation for the
6:41
past two decades from a mobile phone and
6:43
I only pick up my laptop when absolutely
6:46
necessary. I remember somebody asking me
6:48
a few weeks ago how I edit my YouTube
6:51
videos and when I pointed out to him
6:53
that I do it on my phone, he was like,
6:55
"You do everything on your phone?" I
6:57
said, "Yes, I do everything on my phone.
7:00
Where can you find it? It's in beta
7:02
state right now, but it's available in
7:05
the Play Store. I also know that it's
7:07
not available in every country, but if
7:09
you are in the US, it's definitely
7:11
available there. If you're in Canada,
7:13
you should be able to access it. If
7:14
you're in Europe, you should be able to
7:16
access it. I can't guarantee that you'll
7:18
be able to access it from any other
7:19
country. If that is the situation with
7:23
you, then find a third party app store.
7:27
Find a third party Android app store and
7:30
search for YouTube Create. All right.
7:33
Sometimes it's written this way, YT
7:36
Create. Search your favorite top third
7:38
party Android app store for YT Create or
7:41
YouTube Create and it should pop up. You
7:44
should be able to download from there.
7:45
Just make sure that it's your trusted
7:48
third party app store. You don't want to
7:52
go install a problematic app on your
7:55
device. So, this is how I create all of
7:58
my YouTube videos. This is how I edit
8:00
all of my YouTube videos. Shot on a
8:02
smartphone, edited on a smartphone,
8:04
uploaded on a smartphone. I'm also going
8:07
to mention that for your thumbnails,
8:09
it's important to have catchy thumbnails
8:12
for your YouTube videos. Don't just
8:14
upload your video without adding a
8:16
thumbnail. A thumbnail is that image,
8:18
that graphical image that people see
8:21
when they are first presented with your
8:23
video, whether from a search or from the
8:26
homepage of your channel. I use Canva. I
8:30
use Canva for creating my thumbnails.
8:32
Canva is pretty cool. It is one of the
8:34
image editing apps that does not have a
8:37
steep learning curve. You don't need to
8:39
have Photoshop and Photo Paint level of
8:43
skills to be able to use Canva. Pretty
8:44
much anyone who can import, export, drag
8:48
and drop things around can use Canva and
8:50
create thumbnails for their YouTube
8:52
videos and any other type of video you
8:54
want to create as a matter of fact. So,
8:57
YouTube Create for video editing and
9:00
Canva for creation of your thumbnails
9:03
just to have most of your needs covered.
9:08
And those are my recommendations. Thank
9:10
you for watching. Don't forget to like
9:12
this video. Give me your feedback in the
9:15
comment section. Take care.
