Are you ready to grow your freelance client base outside of Fiverr
0:03
If so, then keep watching because I'm going to share the 8 best sites
0:07
like Fiverr to get your next freelance gig. Here we go! Hey again, it's Josh here with Millo.co where freelancers come to level up their business
0:19
This video is sponsored by our friends at Hectic. More about Hectic a bit later in this video
0:25
Today we're talking all about sites like Fiverr. But before we share the list
0:29
take a second and subscribe to this channel for more freelancing tips every week
0:33
And remember to leave a comment telling us what we should cover next on the channel
0:37
And if we pick your idea, we'll enter you to win $1,000 that you can invest back into
0:43
your freelance business. Alright, sites like Fiverr. The truth is, Fiverr is a standout platform
0:49
that operates unlike almost any other platform of the same size. What's the big difference between
0:55
Fiverr and other freelance platforms? It's primarily that freelancers can post their
1:00
own gigs for sale as opposed to responding to client requests. But even so, putting all your
1:06
faith in a single platform, no matter how great it is, can be a dangerous strategy for your freelance
1:11
business. So here are 8 Fiverr alternatives that you can explore to get more clients
1:16
First on the list is Upwork. Like Fiverr, Upwork is one of the biggest freelance
1:21
marketplaces in the world. They've got nearly 150,000 core clients actively using the site
1:27
to hire freelancers, and together they spend over $2.5 billion per year. Needless to say
1:34
there are lots of opportunities to grow your freelance career through Upwork
1:38
If Upwork seems like a good idea to you, have a look at the video we published called
1:42
How to Get Jobs on Upwork in 7 Days. We'll be sure to link it on screen now and in the description
1:47
below. Another Fiverr alternative is a site called Solid Gigs. Unlike Fiverr or Upwork
1:53
which are marketplaces, Solid Gigs is a lead generation tool for freelancers. You just sign
1:59
up, tell the Solid Gigs team of gig hunters what kinds of freelance leads you want, and within a
2:04
couple of days, they start sending you high quality, hand-picked freelance jobs from around
2:09
the internet. You're not locked into a platform, and they don't take a percentage of your client's
2:14
payments. So if you want to get freelance leads on autopilot, Solid Gigs could be a great option
2:19
for you. Next up is Freelancer.com. Like Fiverr or Upwork, Freelancer.com is host to millions of
2:26
users, both clients and freelancers. That means that every day, Freelancer.com connects freelancers
2:33
with clients who need work done. You can even review the kinds of jobs available without
2:37
signing up. Just visit Freelancer.com forward slash jobs. We'll also include links to all of
2:42
these sites in the description below. Hey, really quick, if you're enjoying this video, please take a
2:47
minute just to subscribe and give us a thumbs up. We're working really hard to publish high-quality
2:52
freelancing videos each week, and your support through a like or subscribe really does help us a
2:58
lot. And this video is supported by our friends at Hectic. We've been coaching freelancers for over
3:04
a decade, so we've seen dozens of freelancing tools come and go, but Hectic is undoubtedly
3:10
our favourite so far. It's a full suite of tools for freelancers that makes it easy to run your
3:15
entire freelance business from one place. They help with proposals, contracts, invoicing, project
3:21
management, client management, and a ton more. And the best part is Hectic is completely free to use
3:28
With their free forever plan, you can use some of the best tools on the market to start, run, and grow
3:34
your freelance business. Then, if you need premium features later on, Hectic is one of the most
3:39
affordable choices out there. Visit milo.co forward slash Hectic, or visit the link in our
3:45
description to sign up 100% free. Thanks to Hectic for supporting Milo and freelancers everywhere
3:51
Okay, back to more sites like Fiverr. Let's talk about FreeUp. As a freelancer, getting freelance
3:58
jobs through FreeUp is a bit more complicated. That's because FreeUp reviews each new freelancer's
4:03
application when joining, and only allows a certain percentage to actually do work on the platform
4:09
While that can be frustrating, the upside is good for freelancers who do get accepted. Because
4:14
they monitor the quality of work done on the platform and allow only highly qualified freelancers
4:19
in, they also attract high-paying clients looking for long-term freelance relationships. The same
4:24
goes for our next Fiverr alternative, TopTal. TopTal started as a site to connect clients with
4:31
freelance developers, but it has quickly become a high-quality freelance marketplace for freelancers
4:36
in almost any field. Because of their big-name clients such as Shopify or Duolingo, TopTal's
4:42
freelancer application is much more rigorous, and approves only around 1-3% of those who attempt to
4:48
join. Another site to consider when exploring Fiverr alternatives is called People Per Hour
4:54
Similar to Fiverr, People Per Hour offers a streamlined service connecting freelancers to
4:59
clients all over the world. You have to go through their application process and be accepted by their
5:04
moderators to use the site. But once you're approved, you can search and apply to hourly
5:10
and project-based jobs, or be automatically matched to opportunities based on your profile skills
5:16
Another site like Fiverr you may not have heard of is called Crackerjack. Unlike Fiverr, Crackerjack
5:22
focuses on connecting clients with local freelance talent in cities across the US. Of course, that
5:28
means it's best for freelancers living in the United States, but we hope Crackerjack will expand
5:32
globally soon. Last on the list of Fiverr alternatives is TrueLancer. With TrueLancer
5:38
you can find hundreds of freelancing jobs in various categories, including programming
5:43
design, content translation, administration, finance, accounting, digital marketing, SEO, and many more. TrueLancer allows you to access those job opportunities to find a suitable job
5:55
that matches your skills and specialization. And that's it! Our 8 favorite sites like Fiverr for
6:01
freelancers like you who want to build up their client base. Leave us a comment on this video
6:06
telling us which sites we've left out or which ones you're going to try first. And remember
6:11
if you leave a comment telling us what we should cover next on the channel and we pick your idea
6:17
we'll enter you to win $1000. For now, I'm Josh with Millo.co
6:22
thank you for watching and we'll see you next time
