Get Mass Properties, Weight, Volume and Area etc. in FreeCAD _ FreeCAD Tutorial _

hello friends welcome to free cad tutorial and in this tutorial we will

learn how we can find the mass weight volume etc in free cad if you have used

the solidworks then with just a single click you can get these details and if

you click on this mass properties in solidworks then you will get these

details like density mass volume surface area in free cad we can get details as

we get in a SOLIDWORK with a single click for that we will install a micro

so we will head over to the tool then add-on manager and here I will search

for FC info so here is that micro click on it and install it as I have already

install it so I will directly run it so I will go to the micro and then click on

micro and I will select here FC micro and I will say execute so now if I select

on my bracket here so it is showing name document bracket and if I scroll down

here then I will get here weight so as we are getting the weight here 131 and in SOLIDWORKS we are getting 133 which is very

close and then volume 16744 and here we are getting the volume 16744 which is very accurate

and if you go for the surface area this is the 10406 so here is a surface area

10406 so use of this micro FC info we can get the same details like

SOLIDWORKS but we will get some additional details here and if you

observe here that it is also showing the cost of the material and we can change

our material from here as it is a steel part so I have selected the metal iron

you can do it for the aluminium lead and other metal also so this is a very small

micro which is a very helpful and provide the same details like the solid
