How many of you know we are in to have and to hold? You know the month of July is marriage month. Hallelujah.

So we our sermons usually are targeted at family and marriage and raising children as is the plan of God for

Christian families. Lift up one hand with me and pray with me.

Father, no. Before we pray, put your hands down. Today is a special day. It is the day for our deacon.

You know, the church is going to go through another phase. There's going to be an elevation. There's going to be a new chief elder, a new chief uh deacon

in the church. And these people have worked hard from the beginning to today to arrive at these promotions. And today

is one of them their birthday. Hallelujah. Where is Alaji?

Okay, today is the birthday of um You see that boy is always playing.

and his wife told us to leave because he was trying to run away from us celebrating. So try and let's celebrate

it for him. Let us stand with him, support him and pray for him. Let us lift up our hands and pray for him.

Let us ask God for wisdom for him. Let us ask God for open heavens for him.

This day that marks the day of his birth. It marks the plan and purposes of

God. And therefore by the power, grace and oil of God over our life and our

wishes, we draw grace into his life, potential and elevation.

We speak into the heavens, let the class life and family from today

may he walk in abundance of wealth. May he build, may he own, may nothing be a

limit in his life. May the goodness of God so much surround him that every turn

he will turn to will be a reward, will be a testimony, will be joy for him in

Jesus name. Amen. May this prayer be

also answered for every member who loves the church, who serves in the church and

gives his best to the church. God richly bless all of us. Until our Sunday school

But I want to speak about marriage so you understand what I am saying. I'm using the tree explanation of what

marriage is. Amen. So please marriage is a union, an agreement

and a blessing. So two people can be living together but

officially they are not married in Christ. They can be married by law. They

can be married because they have lived together in one house for a long time. Cohabitate as the law of this world is.

But when it comes to the Bible, it is the joining together of a man and a woman. Please, please, nothing trans,

nothing gender, nothing in between, nothing after. Marriage is for a man and a woman.

Hello. So, it's the joining together of a man and a woman in God as one in pursuit of

raising a godly family.

Amen. Marriage is older than any institution existence. It predates every culture and

tradition in existence. God is the originator and creator of marriage.

It is God who created marriage and blessed the first marriage. When he

blessed them, he blessed them that they may become one.

Not two separate families but become one. So we now have to understand what has

been in God's mind concerning marriage and what was he planning to do the day he decided to marry man.

In the book of Genesis, a chapter 2 20-2 25. And and Adam gave names to all cattle and to all the fowl of the air

and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found help meetat for him. If the Bible is is yours, underline

the word help me meet for him. And the Lord God caused the deep sleep to fall upon Adam. And he slept, and he took out

of his ribs, closed up the flesh instead thereof, the rip which the Lord had taken from man, and made a woman, and

brought her onto man. And Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones, flesh of

my flesh. She shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall come together

come together unto his wife and the two shall become what? One flesh. Please

remember the two shall become one as Adam was one on the face of this earth before Eve came. The two shall become

one and they were both naked, man and his wife and were not ashamed.

You cannot marry. You don't marry because you need somebody to wash your clothes. You don't marry because you need somebody to cook for you. You don't

marry because you don't want to foricate. You don't marry because you don't to commit adultery.

Hallelujah. There are many godly reasons for marriage, but the two prominent ones

seen in scripture is what I want to share with you. Number one, to find help me meet for us. Hallelujah.

Why? In the in the development of a woman's mind,

whatever she recognize and respects, she's able to submit to.

So when he feels you are incapable of meeting the things that she hopes you should meet, she normally looks down on

you. It's the same way when a girl likes you and you're not seeing how he likes you.
