When big studios make blockbuster films, they have to look into the worldwide box office, and China is the country that brings in the biggest overseas box office numbers these days. Unfortunately, their censorship standards are a lot stricter than ours, and studios have been known to cave to Chinese censors and alter things that they might deem offensive.
