Since there aren't superheroes in real life -- despite how impressive some stunt people are -- Marvel and DC movies have to use some special effects work. Some DC films try to use it only where needed for authenticity's sake, while others have gone fully overboard with their special effects, which has ended up taking many fans and critics out of the movie.
